About the role
The Logistics Coordinator at Rocket Lab is responsible for shipping and freight forwarding across and into/out of NZ.

There are thousands of components that are used on Electron that come from both local suppliers and all over the world and this role ensures that these components are at the right place at the right time in line with requests raised by internal customers (Buying, planning, production and others). This role will work closely with the Inwards Team, receipting and dispatching stores.

Essential skills
  • 2+ years previous relevant logistics experience
  • Able to work well within a Team environment
  • A strong understanding of MS Office software
  • A can-do attitude, open to learning with good organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding and customs regulations
Desirable skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Exposure to international shipping regulations, ideally ITAR
  • IATA / IMDG Dangerous Goods knowledge
  • NZ Drivers Licence with D Endorsement
  • Forklift license (preferable)
