The world’s only private orbital launch site, Rocket Lab’s Launch Complex 1 is located on the beautiful Māhia Peninsula on New Zealand’s east coast. Though Rocket Lab designs and manufactures its rockets elsewhere in New Zealand, you’ll be part of the team at the actual launch site of Electron, working alongside a dedicated, hard-working, tight-knit crew. The diverse teams at Launch Complex 1 in Māhia are made up of East Coast locals, wider New Zealand and international staff who have relocated this popular beach and holiday destination. About the Maintenance Supervisor role
As Maintenance Supervisor at LC1 you will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and delivery of all the servicing, maintenance and compliance certification required on site.
There are several key facilities on site, the list below is just some of the areas the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for.
- LC1 – Security gates and fencing
- Launch Pads
- Launch Vehicle Integration Facility
- Payload Integration Clean Rooms
- Engineering Workshops
- Range Power Plants
- Range Control Centre and support facilities
- Weather Balloon Facility
We are looking for someone to establish and manage a smart, flexible and agile preventative and corrective maintenance program. In addition to this they will take responsibility for supervising facility upgrades and expansion projects.
Preferred skills and expertise
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar position
- Experienced implementing and operating a CMMS system
- Experience working in a 5S environment
- Proven experience working with Gantt charges, planning software and standard MS Office software
- Takes initiative and able to work unsupervised
- A highly organised and proactive approach to your work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to remain cheerful and appreciable in all situations
