About The Role

About the role:

You will be responsible for the designing, developing, implementation and maintaining of finance reporting and business intelligence solutions for Rocket Lab.  You will gather and document reporting requirements to meet finance business needs.  Using your skills and experience as a FI Developer, you will then use those requirements to design, develop, test and implement financial reports and dashboards.  

Responsibilities & Tasks include:
  • Ensure financial management reporting requirements are met including setup of costing reports, financial trends, CAPEX, performance metric reporting
  • Ensure project reporting requirements are met including setup of tracking and profitability reporting
  • Develop financial dashboards, data visualisation tools and performance scorecards
  • Develop KPI dashboards and reporting
  • Develop ad hoc financial reporting as required
  • Design and build intelligent solutions (Dynamic and static reporting)
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
  • Establish procedures for data sharing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Data stewardship of ownership protocols to ensuring accurate base data
  • Develop and update technical documentation
  • Assist to define and standardised data

What we are looking for:
  • Solid experience (2-5 years) in a similar role and experience in implementing a variety of financial BI applications including reporting, analytic applications, dashboard and scorecards
  • Experience with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI) and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Strong skills in Microsoft reporting services and other reporting tools
  • Advanced skills in SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Familiarity with BI technologies and ERP systems
  • Able to take the initiative and be innovative
