About The Role

Rocket Lab is the global leader in small satellite launch. Launching from right here in New Zealand, we design and build innovative technology to give small satellites a premium ride to orbit.
Our relentlessly innovative team is behind Electron, the rocket that re-wrote the rules of what’s possible in spaceflight. The world’s first fully carbon composite launch vehicle, and the first to be powered by 3D printed engines, Electron is launching to orbit now.
We have a strong leadership team, solid financial backing and a full launch manifest, now all we need is you. Rocket Lab is growing its world-class team – we’re seeking passionate, highly-skilled people who are comfortable working in a dynamic, technically challenging environment where they will be given ownership of processes from start-to-finish.
Join us for the ride.
Working as part of the Auckland-based Electron Vehicle Team, you will have the opportunity to work on a rocket using state-of-the-art manufacturing and production techniques.
We need your expertise in complex composite construction together with your ability to produce top quality work with an exceptional eye for detail. You will be responsible for the manufacture and trimming of composites components and building of composite molds and jigs.  You’ll put your skills into play preparing molds and composite parts for laminating – to the highest standards.
We are thinkers and we are doers. You will be working in a very dynamic, fast pace environment of makers and problem-solvers. Each of your ideas will be heard, quickly put to the test and integrated as part of our world-leading rocket.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a tight-knit team and take on projects you’re proud to be a part of building.
