About the role
As part of the wider Production team at Rocket Lab, the Composites team is responsible for building and assembling numerous parts of the Electron rocket, including but not limited to the fairing, vehicle structures, payload deployers and battery compartments.
As a Composite Laminator you will be part of a team of Laminators, Builders and Apprentices working on our launch vehicle. Working in a temperature-controlled environment you will produce items out of pre-pregged carbon fibres and will utilize onsite autoclaves and ovens to cure.
  
Essential skills
  • Qualified Composite Technician or have proven industry experience
  • 1+ years pre-preg laminating experience
  • You must be methodical and committed to adhering to defined process and SOP’s
  • You must be adaptable and knowledgeable of lamination process techniques and you can utilise your skillset in many environments
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in expressing good ideas to achieve minor improvements
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Willing to assist your team members when needed
  • Pro-active about seeking work to help the team reach their deliverables
