About the role
The CNC Plotter Operator will support production by running the machine to cut carbon prepreg, cork and other materials. You will track materials and inspect for faults while maintaining production targets.  You will be required to undertake all aspects of composite lamination during production, this will include laminating components used inside pressurised cryogenic propellent tanks, right the way through to structural components of the vehicle ‘chassis’ whilst always maintaining our high standards of quality at Rocket Lab.
Essential skills
  • Moderate Microsoft Office and PC skills
  • Be capable of lifting min 25kgs
  • Running basic plotter programs initially and introducing advanced features
  • Precision lamination skills of prepreg systems
  • Precision lamination skills of tooling prepreg systems
  • Knowledge of bagging for oven and autoclave cures
  • Basic hand tool skills
  • You must be adaptable and knowledgeable of lamination process techniques and you can utilise your skillset in many environments
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in expressing good ideas to achieve minor improvements
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Willing to assist your team members when needed
  • Pro-active about seeking work to help the team reach their deliverables
