About The Role

As an avionics engineer, you will create beautiful and high-performance electronic components for the Electron launch vehicle. This role will involve all aspects of product development, including conceptual design, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, manufacturing, and integration. In this fast-paced role you will be the point-of-call for production support and anomaly investigation. You will also drive process improvement to increase yield and reliability

Key duties include
  • Translate product requirements into design solutions
  • Create schematic and PCB layouts for multilayer PCB designs, including high-speed analog and mixed-signal designs
  • Collaborate cross functionality to ensure designs integrate with other mechanical and software functions
  • Debug prototype designs, conduct functional performance and signal characterization
  • Develop automated test systems for production acceptance testing
  • Issue tracking and component-level support during manufacturing and integration
  • Assist with manufacturing process optimization and quality improvement
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years circuit board design experience using Altium Designer
  • Experience in high-speed analog and digital PCB design
  • Experience in fast-paced commercial based projects
  • Experience in high-reliability industries such as aerospace or medical is a plus
  • Understanding of D-FMEA, P-FMEA, ECN, production process, and workflow management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
Preferred Skills 
  • Programming experience in C/C++ and Python in a Linux environment.
