ACCOUNTING & SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER

 Long Beach, California the Accounting & Special Projects Manager is responsible for Accounting support for rapidly growing acquisition portfolio. You will support the Corporate Controller and the Accounting & Finance organization, with deliverables required for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support end-to-end financial due diligence process for all M&A transactions and work with external auditors.
  • Validation of acquiree's accounting policies, harmonization with Company policy.
  • Evaluate of control environment, create pathway to SOX compliance.
  • Integration plan development, coordination and execution with Rocket Lab’s accounting and other departments, and the acquiree.
  • Other special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • CPA licensed, with a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • 10+ years’ experience in accounting, some being in a management role
  • 3+ years of public accounting or consulting work experience, can include 2 years of corporate accounting work experience
  • ASC 606 knowledge
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions
