About The Role

As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will create beautiful and high-performance electronics for the Electron launch vehicle, including computing, networking, imaging, and custom instrumentation products. Your core responsibility will be the component-level electrical design, including component selection, thermal system design, prototyping, and production handover.

In this fast-paced role, you will be the point-of-call for production support and anomaly investigation, and the go-to person for increasing yield and reliability.
  
Key duties include
  • Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics for high-reliability applications.
  • Create schematic and PCB layouts for multilayer PCB designs, including high-speed digital and mixed-signal designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs integrate with mechanical and software functions.
  • Conduct prototype testing, signal characterisation, and verification testing.
  • Issue-tracking and component-level support during manufacturing and integration.
  • Assist with manufacturing process optimization and quality improvement.
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 10+ years’ experience in a relevant design field
  • Use of hardware design tools, Altium designer preferred.
  • Experience in high-speed digital and analog PCB design.
  • High proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in fast-paced commercial based projects.
  • Experience in high-reliability industries such as aerospace or medical is a plus.
