About The Role

As an avionics integration engineer, you will be on the front line of integration, testing, and launch operations. This is a fast-paced role requiring hands-on trouble shooting of large and complex systems. You will gain a core understanding of the vehicle performance at the system level and will be responsible for operating the avionics system during testing and launch. Day-to-day, you will work closely with the production and engineering teams to provide guidance on testing and resolving issues quickly as they arise. You will also drive design improvements in the avionics system and provide expertise on system-level connectivity and mechanical integration.
 
Key Duties
  • Understand the vehicle performance at the system level, to be able to validate the as-built vehicle is “go for launch”
  • Develop test plans and procedures for integration testing, and perform hands-on system level tests as well as supervision to production technicians
  • Operate the avionics systems during system-level tests, including stage testing and launch
  • Hands-on troubleshooting during integration and operations
  • Review system-level test data and support anomaly investigation and resolution. Contribute to the design of avionics system-level design and configuration, provide expertise in system-level connectivity and mechanical integration
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in mechatronics, electronics, aerospace, science, or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in electrical integration and test operations on complex systems in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and experience in electronics, signal integrity, layout, and grounding principles
  • Ability to work in fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphere
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Good multi-disciplinary skills and ability to learn new fields quickly
  • Proven experience in process improvement, knowledge of automation techniques. Practical knowledge of electromagnetic interference (EMI) principles and mitigation techniques
  • Competence with electrical and RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, power supplies etc.)• Understanding of various communication protocols (such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS232, I2C, SPI etc)
